The infrastructure for exploring the countryside is very good.


A friendly taxi driver will be pleased to take you on a round-trip for several days, visiting places of cultural interest, temples, national parks, the highlands, the pilgrims’ mountain of Adam’s Peak, the gem and jewellery stores etc. However, there are also many attractive sites just for a day-tour.

Three day's tour

Buduruvagala

1st Day

Buduruvagala, huge ancient Buddha statues graved in a rock, waterfall, the village of Ella, a wonderful view point and meeting point of travellers

Going on to Kandy via tea plantations and visiting a tea factory. Kandy has many pilgrims and the temple of Buddha's tooth. Shopping in Kandy

Going by the legendary train to Nuwara Eliya, highest situated town in Sri Lanka with a very exquisite mixture of Asian culture and colonial past.



3rd Day

Botanical garden near Kandy or Ratnapura (city of gems); back to AquaBeach where Buddhist mantras herald the end of the day and the sky is sparkling full of stars

1st Day

National park, Buduruvagala (huge ancient Buddha Statues graved in a rock), Haputale (great viewpoint in picturesque tee estates)

Sigiriya, Rock Frescoes of Sigiri Damsels ... and the relics of a once impressive fortress on the top of the rock mountain – or Polunnaruwa, the spacious area of an ancient city with many historical buildings and statues. Both places ate declared as world cultural heritage of the UNESCO.
